What they are
Cookies are small text files a site saves in your browser; browser storage (localStorage) does the same job with another tool. Some make the site work, others measure visits or show advertising. The ones that are not necessary are used only if you allow it.
Technical cookies (necessary)
They do not need your consent. Some are created only when a feature is used (support, the dark theme, the choice about cookies itself).

How to manage your choices
Today we use no cookies that need your consent: the choice you record here applies to any service we turn on, and you can change it whenever you like.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge): if you block the technical ones, some features, such as signing in to support, will not work.
The consent record
To be able to show that consent was given, when you choose we keep a random code, the date, the version of the cookie list, the categories you chose and the language. We do not keep your IP address or any other data that would let us recognise you.
Applications and pages without a banner
Some parts of the domain load no third-party script and so have no banner: the Bloody Radar application (it keeps its data on the device and makes no network calls), the Pitwall administration area (not public) and the Kondexa demo (a static copy). This is the data they write:

The Storia della Fotografia shop and site (storiadellafotografia.com) is a different site, with its own cookies and its own notice, which is not this one. Links to external sites (GitHub to download QZ, for instance) follow the rules of those sites.

GIF Web Solutions is the name under which an individual publishes these applications: there is no company, so there is no registered office or VAT number to give. The contacts above are the only valid ones.
Your rights
Where personal data is processed, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 gives you the right to access it, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to the processing, and to receive it in a machine-readable format. You can exercise these rights using the contacts above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect data concerning them.
Changes to this policy
If the processing changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Earlier versions are not published: if you need a past version, ask at the contacts above.
