Privacy policy
Privacy policy for this site
Last updated: 2026-10-05
This site collects data only when you write to us: through the contact form or the support forum. There is no analytics service, no page loads anything from another domain, and the only cookies are the support forum's technical ones, when you use it: just browsing leaves us nothing.
The contact form
When you submit the form, we receive by email your name, email address, the type of enquiry, the text you wrote, the page language and the IP address the submission came from. The IP arrives only in the email and serves to recognise an abusive submission; it is not kept anywhere else.
The form has no database and saves nothing: the message exists only as an email in the mailbox that receives it, where it stays as long as it takes to reply and to keep track of the conversation. The legal basis is your interest in getting an answer.
The message goes through the hosting server (Hostinger) and lands in a Google (Gmail) mailbox: those providers handle it under their own terms, and the mailbox is the only place it stays.
The content is not passed to anyone and is not used to send you anything you did not ask for.
What the site does not do
No third-party cookies. The site's pages use none; the support forum uses two technical ones, and only for those who use it: a session cookie when you open a form or sign in, and one that remembers the language you chose. Just reading gives you none. No analytics or profiling service. No web font, map, video or script loaded from another domain: everything a page needs is on the site itself.
This is not a promise: it is a check that runs at every publication and stops if a page tries to request anything from an outside domain.
The complete list of cookies, with the purpose and duration of each, is on the Cookies page.
Server logs
As on any site, the server hosting it records the requests it receives — IP address, date, page requested — for security and diagnostics. Those logs are kept by the hosting provider (Hostinger) under its own retention policy; we do not use them to identify visitors.
Support
Support at /support is a forum: you need an account to post. We collect the public name you choose, your email address and your password, which we store only as an encrypted fingerprint that nobody can read back. The email never appears on the pages: it is used to confirm your sign-up, to tell you about replies (you can turn that off in your profile) and to recover your password.
Threads are public, with your public name beside them: anyone can read them, because the answer also helps whoever comes next. If you mark one private, only you and the GIF Web Solutions staff can see it. Attached images follow their thread: public if it is public, private if it is private. Every image is re-encoded before it is stored, and loses the data the camera puts in it, location included.
To protect the forum from people posting in bursts or trying passwords, the IP address is used to count attempts and discarded within a day: it does not stay linked to your messages. A new member's first message is read by the staff before it appears.
You can delete your account from your profile at any time. Your private threads are deleted with it, images included. What you wrote in public stays, signed “Deleted user”, because other people's replies rely on it. The legal basis is your request for support.
The products' policies
Each application has its own, because each one handles different data:
- Bloody Radar — no data collected, everything stays on the phone;
- Pitwall — the career is played offline; the online area holds the game profile;
- Kondexa — the demo collects nothing; for installations the customer is the controller;
- Blackout — the page collects nothing; the purchase is made in the shop at storiadellafotografia.com, which is a different site and handles the order data itself;
- File Vault — the page collects nothing; the app is not out yet and will have its own policy when it is;
- QR Code — static codes are made in the browser and never leave the device. Only dynamic QR codes go through a server of ours: we store the destination, the dates and the counts, and for each scan the day, the device type, the browser language and an irreversible daily fingerprint used to count unique visitors. We do not store the IP address and use no cookies; single scans are deleted after 400 days, the totals stay;
- QZ — no data collected: it runs in the browser, with no account and no server of ours;
- Storia della Fotografia — a separate site (storiadellafotografia.com) with its own shop: the data of people who sign up or buy there is handled by that site, not this one.
Who processes the data
The data controller is GIF Web Solutions. For any request concerning this policy or your data, please use the site's contact form, or write to gifwebsolutions (chiocciola) gmail.com.
GIF Web Solutions is the name under which an individual publishes these applications: there is no company, so there is no registered office or VAT number to give. The contacts above are the only valid ones.
Your rights
Where personal data is processed, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 gives you the right to access it, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to the processing, and to receive it in a machine-readable format. You can exercise these rights using the contacts above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect data concerning them.
Changes to this policy
If the processing changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Earlier versions are not published: if you need a past version, ask at the contacts above.
